2 drugs suspects slain in Cavite shootout

SAN PEDRO CITY – Police killed two illegal drug suspects in Cavite province on Monday, according to the regional police on Tuesday.

Killed in a gunfight in Barangay Salawag in Dasmariñas City around 6:30 p.m. Monday was Mico Andres Armilla.

The police said Armilla, who was wanted for illegal drugs, tried to escape arrest by running away from the policemen.

During the brief chase, the suspect allegedly opened fire forcing the police to shoot him down. Armilla died on the spot.

In General Trias City, another drug suspect identified only as an alias “Mase” was killed in a buy-bust operation around 11 a.m. in Barangay San Francisco.

The report said Mase opened fire when he realized he was dealing with the police.

His companion, Samad Unda Bacaraman, was arrested.

The police recovered a .38 caliber gun and 11 sachets of alleged shabu (crystal meth) from the suspects.
