7 nabbed in separate anti-drug operations in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a new drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Lucena and six alleged marijuana users in Sariaya town early Sunday, police said.
Illegal drugs operatives acting on information provided by citizen informers and drug surrenderees nabbed Edmund Vega after he sold “shabu” to an undercover policeman in a transaction in Barangay Dalahican around 3:30 a.m. Authorities seized 13 plastic sachets of shabu in retail packs with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1,739.
Police tagged the suspect as a newly identified drug pusher that supplies shabu to dock workers, fishers and tricycle drivers in the coastal village.
Meanwhile, authorities also arrested five marijuana users – Arvin Tristan Celedenia, Nickkial Christian Lumibao, Ronald Emmanuel Ramos, Hans Balfael, John Eric Guinto and Sandy Barcelonia – after they were caught by a barangay tanod and policemen while in a pot session in Villa Del Prado beach resort in Barangay Bignay 1 in Sariaya town around 4 a.m.
The suspects yielded three plastic sachets of marijuana weighing 7.32 grams and drug paraphernalia. /cbb
