DAVAO CITY — An Army reservist and his companion were killed in an anti-drugs operation by police here on Monday night.

Senior Insp. Ma. Teresita Gaspan, Davao City Police Office spokesperson, said Jaime Moin and Alvin Daris of Landmark, Buhangin district, were killed when they tried to fight during the police buy-bust operation at 9:10 pm at the Belisario Village, San Antonio, Agdao here on Monday.

During the transaction, Moin, a member of the Army Reserve Command, suddenly pulled a caliber .45 pistol and tried to shoot at the lawmen as Daris showed signs of resistance, prompting police to open fire, Gaspan said.
