Glitch disrupts MRT-3 service; 600 passengers affected
Updated (5:50 p.m.)
A northbound train of the Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) suffered a glitch on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the offloading of 600 passengers at the Shaw boulevard station.
According to the advisory, the MRT-3 train suffered an “ATP Signalling Error” at around 3:07 p.m.
One cause of the causes of the glitch was reportedly a “worn-out ATP/Signalling sub-components.”
Affected passengers were serviced by a different train that came five minutes after the incident.
The last offloading incident at the MRT-3 was recorded on August 9, which was due to “electrical failure in motor” and affected 1,050 passengers. /ee
