At least 2,458 individuals and 750 families remain in evacuation centers as of Wednesday afternoon due to flooding bought by the southwest monsoon, according to the Marikina City Police.

Residents were forcibly evacuated after third alarm was raised in the Marikina River as it rose to 20.6 meters on Sunday.

The alert level has since been lifted and it is at the 13.5-meter level as of Wednesday morning.   /vvp
