Work at the Manila City Hall has been ordered suspended by Mayor Joseph Estrada on Tuesday morning due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Depression Henry.

In an advisory, Manila public information officer Bambi Purisima said that Estrada ordered the work suspension for all City Hall employees except for public works and emergency response teams.

The response teams, Purisima said, include those from the city’s health, social welfare, public services, disaster risk reduction, engineering and traffic departments.

As of 9:15 a.m., floods have been reported along the southbound section of Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw area and the northbound section of R. Papa in Manila. /jpv
