Cebu Pacific to enforce stricter policy on hand-carry baggage

Cebu Pacific is set to “strictly enforce” its policy on hand-carry baggage of its passengers.

In an updated travel advisory on Saturday (July 14), the management of Cebu Pacific said the strict enforcement would start next week.

“Beginning July 19, 2018, Cebu Pacific will strictly enforce our policy on hand-carry baggage acceptance,” the airline said.

“Passengers are allowed one carry-on or hand-carry baggage inside the cabin, with a maximum weight of seven (7) kilograms and dimension of up to 56cm x 36cm x 23cm,” it added.

Each passenger is also allowed to bring handbags, purses and laptop bags that can fit under the seat.

Passengers traveling with infants may bring one bag containing all the baby necessities aside from their hand-carry baggage.

“This is in line with our continued efforts to streamline operations and provide a more efficient check-in experience at the airport,” it said.

The Cebu Pacific management earlier announced that the effective date of the stricter policy on hand-carry baggage would be on July 17, Tuesday.
