Libad Festival
The town of Calumpit in Bulacan province pays homage to its patron St. John the Baptist through a fluvial procession. The festival took its name from the word “libad,” which means “iniikutan o nililibaran” (a place that can be toured). Boats along Calumpit River follow a pagoda where the image of St. John the Baptist was placed as a way to give thanks for the town’s blessings. Activities also include a street dancing parade, variety show and singing contest.

Pakaradyan Festival
Article continues after this advertisementA food festival at the town of Malapatan in Sarangani province showcasing one of most famous Muslim delicacies called tinagtag, also known as rice crispies. A trade fair and exhibit featuring different local products are also held.
