3-year-old boy with leukemia asks for help

MANILA, Philippines—Three-year-old Carl Gabrielle Ombao was initially diagnosed as suffering from anemia. A more detailed test, however, showed that he has high-risk acute leukemia.

Every three months, he undergoes oral chemotherapy at Philippine General Hospital. Each session costs P9,000.

In addition, he has to undergo bone marrow testing at the National Kidney Institute every six months.
