SOME areas in Makati City had no electricity Friday after the concrete gutter of a two-story house collapsed.
PO3 Noli Jucal of the Makati Police said the gutter of the house on Washington Street, Barangay Pio del Pilar fell at around 3 a.m. The house is reportedly owned by Ramon Caig.
?The [gutter] collapsed and leaned on electric cables, causing the electric post to fall. This resulted in a power outage in the area and nearby barangays,? Jucal told Inquirer.
Residents in the area told police that they were awakened by a loud thud. Others said they thought there was an earthquake because they felt tremors.
Two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla XE and an Toyota Innova, were damaged after the electric post fell on them.
No one was reported injured in the accident.
