BATANGAS CITY -- A 46-year-old doctor was shot to death at his home here Friday afternoon by two unidentified men who purportedly wanted to buy a tricycle, police said.
Superintendent Manuel Abu, chief of police of Batangas City, identified the victim as Mario Remo, a resident of Pallocan West, this city.
Abu said that at around 12:30 p.m. the two gunmen arrived at Remo's home saying they were interested in the victim's tricycle that was put up for sale.
Remo was negotiating the sale when his two household helps saw him being shot in different parts of the body by the gunmen, who fled after ensuring that he was dead.
Abu said the victim was also engaged in the lending business and had supposedly harassed debtors who failed to pay.
