MANILA, Philippines ? (UPDATE) Five domestic incoming and outgoing flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport have been cancelled due to continuing bad weather caused by typhoon ?Juan? (international codename: Megi).

The Manila International Airport Authority, which operates NAIA, listed the cancelled flights in an advisory at noon.

The flights included South East Asian Airlines flight DG 067 to Basco, Batanes, which was supposed to leave at 10:30 a.m.; two cancelled Cebu Pacific flights to Busuanga, Palawan, 5J 529 and 5J 033, which were supposed to leave at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively. As a result, their return flights, 5J 530 and 5J 034, which were supposed to arrive at 11:55 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, have been consequently cancelled.

"All other flights are still on schedule as of now. However, please do stay tuned in case there are more developments later," Cebu Pacific said in an advisory posted on its Facebook page.

"We place top priority in the safety of our passengers. Thanks for your understanding," the airline said.

Metro Manila remains under storm signal number 1 while Palawan will experience heavy rains as Typhoon Juan continues to move towards the South China Sea.
