Sept. 10 a non-working holiday—Palace

MANILA, Philippines ? (UPDATE) President Benigno Aquino III has declared a non-working holiday the end of Eid?l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadan that would fall on September 10 this year.

?The President has issued Proclamation No. 26 declaring Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid?l Fitr,? said presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda.

The declaration is contained in Proclamation No. 26, which was signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, a Radyo Inquirer report said Friday.
