MANILA, Philippines -- Apparently in keeping with his vow that the people are his ?boss,? President Benigno Aquino III is giving them the chance to talk to him and tell him their woes and grievances, online.
The website of the Office of the President of the Philippines was launched at noon Monday at www.president.gov.ph.
President Aquino was expected to join a news conference at the Palace pressroom on Monday regarding the launch of the presidential website.
The presidential website will not only report the President's activities, policy statements and other Government (What the people want)'' that encourages people to reach out to him and make comments.
?[Aquino] wants to hear from you. Share what you think can make this government more transparent,'' said the section page.
As of this posting, the comments from the public have come in?with some of them asking President Aquino to look into the corruption at the Bureau of Internal Revenue; to look at the plight of beggars; and even to cleaning the Manila Bay.
There were others who asked the President if he would bother to read their comments. There were also others who made comments on how to improve the page itself.
