MANILA, Philippines?Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Raul Gonzalez Sr. on Tuesday told critics of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to file a case against her and her entourage in connection with the lavish New York dinner instead of yapping through the media.
?I could not understand the critics of the President on why they still pay attention to that issue. If they want, they should file a case. Take it to a proper venue, not through the media,? Gonzalez said.
Members of the opposition and militant groups slammed the President for the lavish dinner hosted by Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez in New York for the President?s 41st wedding anniversary during the President's working visit to the United States from July 29 to August 5, 2009.
Romualdez is the country?s second richest congressman with a net worth of some P447 million.
