MANILA, Philippines -- Several roads have been opened to traffic in Manila although some remained closed at the Quiapo area as the Black Nazarene inched its way, with thousands of devotees eager to touch the miraculous image, the city’s traffic group said.
The Manila Traffic Enforcement Unit said all roads where the Black Nazarene have passed have been re-opened to traffic -- M. Villegas, Roxas Boulevard, Katigbak St., Kalaw-Taft, and Anda Circle.
Meanwhile, España corner P. Campa westbound; A. Mendoza southbound; Mendiola westbound; Legarda and Recto remain closed to traffic, MTFU said.
The MTFU also said traffic was moderate at Quezon Bridge southbound while Burgos to Quezon Boulevard was light to moderate.
