Boy, 5, dies in Lucena road accident

LUCENA CITY–A five-year-old boy died after he was accidentally hit by a passing car here Tuesday.

Jayrick Ferrer Gilbuena, was bumped by a car being driven by Jesus Revilloza Quindoza, 60, while traversing a side street in Barangay Ibabang Iyam around 10:30 a.m., said a report from the Quezon police.

Gilbuena suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Mount Carmel Diocesan General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Quindoza was placed under local police custody, the report added. DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
