700 families lose homes in Malabon City fire

Around 700 families were left homeless after a fire razed an informal-settler community in Malabon City on Saturday evening.

The fire destroyed around 300 homes in Remedios St., Barangay Maysilo, Malabon City according to dzBB Super Radyo reports.

The area with houses mostly built with light materials was reportedly engulfed by a big black smoke around 7:00 p.m.


The fire escalated quickly to 4th alarm around 7:42 p.m., and reached Task Force Alpha from 7:48 to 9:13 p.m.

Firemen declared the fire under control at 9:28 and was later put out at 10:38 p.m. JE
