4 Marines injured during bomb detonation in Basilan

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Four Philippine Marine soldiers suffered injuries during a bomb detonation in Ungkaya Pukan town in Basilan on Monday morning.

Maj. Gen. Demy Tejares, deputy commander of Task Force Zambasulta, said members of the Marine Battalion Landing Team 11 (MBLT11) had recovered the bomb that was planted along the Basilan Circumferential Road in Ungkaya Pukan town.

After detonating the bomb, a secondary blast occurred, injuring four soldiers.

The wounded were identified as S sgt. Marcian Lustre, Sgt. Reynaldo Quiroben, Sgt. Randy Plandano and Private First Class Arnel Tanyag.
