Malacanang on Tuesday confirmed that President Benigno Aquino III has accepted Secretary Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan’s resignation from his Cabinet.

The Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization told INQUIRER.net earlier that he had submitted his resignation. He declined to say whether it had to do with planning to run in the 2016 elections.
