Is Yeb Saño the next Greenpeace head?

Is Naderev “Yeb” Saño being groomed to head Greenpeace?

That seems to be the case, according to Climate Change Commission (CCC) Vice Chair and Secretary Lucille Sering.

Several hours after Saño made public his resignation from the CCC, Sering issued a text statement through Malacañang.

In her text message to Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., she said, “He tendered his ‘irrevocable resignation’ last March 27 and he announced it himself today as part of his launch of another climate change pilgrimage.”

“But as far as we have gathered, he is reportedly being groomed to head Greenpeace,” she added.

At the same time, Sering said his resignation has not been formally accepted since it has just been forwarded to the Office of the President.

In his earlier statement, Saño said he is joining OurVoices, a multi-faith campaign focused on climate change, to lead the so-called “People’s Pilgrimage” to Paris in time for the United Nations Climate Change Summit.
