Pro-lifers come out with Senate bets’ list

PRO-LIFE advocates will present to the public a list of the senatorial candidates whom they wish to support.

The grand rally organized by the Lay Initiatives for Elections 2013 (Life 2013) will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Plaza Independencia in Cebu City.

“Let’s stand up in our fight abortion, death penalty, divorce, and same sex marriages. No Catholic is a coward,” said Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer, the country director of Human Life International.

Bullecer’s group is openly endorsing 12 senatorial candidates and three party list groups for the May 13 elections.

They are senatorial candidates Mitos Magsaysay, Gregorio Honasan, Antonio Trillanes, Koko Pimentel, JV Ejercito, Cynthia Villar, Nancy Binay, Richard Gordon, Juan Miguel Zubiri, JC Delos Reyes, Manwil Llasos and Christian Seneres while the partylist groups include Ang Buhay, Pro Life, and ANAD.

Bullecer said these candidates signed a covenant with the group that if elected, they would not back anti-life laws and bills. /Reporter ADOR VINCENT S. MAYOL
