TEAM Rama’s bid for City Hall  yesterday got a boost after at least four urban poor groups and a vendor’s association gave their endorsement to the party.

“We strongly support Mike Rama because we see him as a person who talks with us and asks what our problems are,”,” said Maria Pino,  Cebu City United Vendors Association (CCUVA) chairperson in Cebuano during the first Homeowners’ Conference at the Whitel Gold House yesterday.  CCUVA has at least 10,000 members in the city.

Evangeline Abejo, Nasudnong Katawhang Kabus (Nakabus) chairperson,  also gave the group’s support.

Abejo said Nakabus has at least 300 member homeowner associations with at least 50,000 individual members.

The other urban poor groups who gave their support to Team Rama are the  Alliance of National Urban Poor (Anupa)-Cebu City, and the Alliance of Barangay Apas Community Associations (Abaca). /Correspondent Jose Santino S. Bunachita
