Respondents divided over Bangsamoro framework agreement, poll shows
MANILA, Philippines—Respondents are almost equally divided over what the effect of the framework agreement would be to peace efforts in Mindanao.
A total of 4,047 respondents replied to the poll question: Do you think the framework agreement on the Bangsamoro territory will pave the way for a lasting peace in Mindanao?
Of the total number of respondents, 1,574, or 38.89 percent, said “Yes’’ to the question, while 1,530, or 37.81 percent, said “No’’. A total of 943, or 23.3 percent replied “Maybe.’’
The unofficial survey covered a two-week period since the signing of the framework agreement in Malacañang. The poll ended at 5 p.m. Friday.
