MANILA, Philippines—Newly-appointed Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales said she would immediately look into all pending cases before the Office of the Ombudsman.
“I will order an inventory of cases,” said Morales, whose appointment was announced by President Benigno Aquino during his second State of the Nation Address Monday.
But this early, Morales in an interview over 990AM cautioned her staff to “do the right” thing.
“I will meet my staff. I will tell them that I will take care of then as long as they are doing right, otherwise…”
She said that her appointment only showed that the President has confidence in her independence.
