Robredo’s wife in shortlist of bets for Bicol RTC judge

MANILA, Philippines—Lawyer Leni Robredo has been included in the shortlist of candidates for Regional Trial Court judge in the Bicol Region.
Lawyer Jose Mejia, member of the Judicial and Bar Council confirmed, that the wife of the late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo is one of the candidates for four lower courts in the Bicol Region-Ligao, Albay RTC Branch 13; Pili, Camarines Sur Branch 32; Calabanga Camarines Sur, Branch 63 and/or Daet, Camarines Sur Branch 40.
Mejia said usually applicants in the lower courts are not nominated but apply for the position.
The JBC officially announced Robredo as applicant for the position on March 28, 2012.
Mejia said Mrs. Robredo went through an interview and a series of physical, psychological and psychiatric examinations.
