Alibasa and Gutoc said Dalidig’s remains will be taken to the lakeside town of Balindong, Lanao del Sur province, for burial.

FEATURED STORIES

Dalidig blew the lid off cases of massive cheating and vote-buying in Lanao del Sur in the 2004 presidential elections that resulted in the controversial victory of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo over actor Fernando Poe Jr.

Dalidig’s exposés barely made it to national news media until the “Hello Garci” scandal broke out.

The wiretapped conversation between Arroyo and then Comelec Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano gave credence to Dalidig’s exposés. Ryan Rosauro, Inquirer Mindanao
