Siso makes finals of Cebuana tennis in Ormoc

AFTER pocketing the girls 18-under title of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Tournament in Ubay, Bohol recently, Sally Mae Siso is set to add another crown in the same category as she advanced to the finals in the Ormoc City edition of the netfest.

Siso advanced to the final round after dismissing Mary Claire Lazaga, 6-0, 6-2.

Siso faces off with her close friend Hannah Grace Espinosa, who put up a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Grace Melchor.

Other Cebuanos advancing to the next round in their respective categories are Zethley Mae Alfarez, who routed fellow Cebuano Kara Salimbangon, 7-5, 6-2, in their semifinal battle in the girls 12-under and Jarryd Laurel, who demolished Julian Lahdo, 6-1, 6-1, in the boys 16-under.

The younger Salimbangon—Caesar, also bowed out of the tournament after losing to Alexi Cari, 6-4, 6-2, in the 10-under unisex. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
