Bohol hosts Big J swim meet

NEOPHYTE tankers converge at the PMI swimming pool in Tagbilaran City, Bohol for the Big J Fun Summer Swimming Novice Challenge 2012 on June 2.

Categories for individual entries are 6 years old and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 years old and over in girls and boys division.

There will also be relays for the 10 and under and 11 and over.

This meet will follow the rules of the Visayas Integrated School Swimming Association, Inc. as well as the technical rules that govern all swimming competitions.

All participants will be allowed to swim five individual events in their respective age brackets and all relays.

Trophies will be given to the top 3 teams and the top 3 individual event winners will get medals.

Most be-medalled swimmers will also be commended per age bracket.

Warm-up and lane assignments will be done from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. while the coaches meeting and deadline for submission of changes in entries will follow at 8:30 a.m.

The opening ceremonies will be held at 8:45 a.m. and the competition will officially start at 9 a.m. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
