Lone winner hits Grand Lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines—A bettor from Luzon won the P356,552,917.20 jackpot prize in Wednesday night’s 6/55 Grand Lotto draw, hitting the winning combination of 05-09-19-26-30-45, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office said.

There were 146 bettors who got the consolation prize of P150,000 each for hitting five of the six-digit combination.

The highest prize on record that reached P741 million was won on November 29 last year by a New York-based “balikbayan” (Filipino returnee) who bought the winning ticket while on vacation in Olongapo City.

Every bet has one chance out of 29 million possible combinations to win in the 6/55 Grand Lotto.

The next draw is set on Saturday with a minimum jackpot of P30 million.
