Motorcycle thief held in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A man was arrested by village officials after he tried to steal a motorcycle in Catanauan town, Quezon province early Wednesday.

Lannie Glindo saw Ramil Sanico and a companion while pushing away her motorcycle parked in front of her house, Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman said in a report.

Glindo and several barangay tanod chased the suspects who hurriedly left aboard a tricycle.

A few minutes later, the barangay tanods found the tricycle abandoned at the roadside and brought it to the house of the village chief for custody.

Sanico arrived at the village chief’s house and tried to get back the confiscated tricycle. But he was identified by Glindo, which prompted village officials to arrest him in Barangay Dahican around 1 a.m.
