Senate to hold necrological services for Angara
A necrological service for the late former Senate President Edgardo J. Angara will be held at the Senate on Wednesday.
The necrological service is scheduled at 10 a.m., according to an advisory sent by email to reporters on Tuesday by the office of Angara’s son, incumbent Senator Sonny Angara.
Among those who will deliver eulogies for the late senator are former President Gloria Mapagal-Arroyo, who is now Pampanga Representative, and Joseph Estrada, who is now Manila Mayor.

Former and incumbent senators will also deliver their eulogies are Senate President Aqulino “Koko” Pimentel III, Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senators Loren Legarda, Juan Miguel Zubiri, Joel Villanueva and Richard Gordon, former Senate President Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr., and former Senator and now Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetan.
Edgardo Angara succumbed to heart attack on Sunday.
