Federalism support to snowball–DILG

Interior Assistant Secretary Jonathan Malaya maintains that the shift to the federal system of government has the approval of the majority despite Pulse Asia’s recent survey that showed 66 percent of Filipinos are not in favor of it.

Malaya, head of the Federalism and Constitutional Reform Program, said support for federalism would “snowball” once the Consultative Commission had completed its proposed amendments to the Charter. —JAYMEE T. GAMIL
