Binay signs draft report recommending charges vs ex-President Aquino
Sen. Nancy Binay said on Monday that she had signed a draft committee report recommending the filing of charges against former President Benigno Aquino III and other former officials of his administration over the suspended P3.5-billion Dengvaxia vaccination project.
“I signed already,” Binay told Senate reporters.
But in affixing her signature to the draft report prepared by Sen. Richard Gordon, chairman of the Senate blue ribbon committee, the lady senator said she had indicated that she “may amend” and would interpellate once the draft report had gathered the necessary signatures and transmitted to the plenary for deliberations.
“Kasi para sa akin yung committee report is not yet the final report,” Binay said. “Pagde-debatehan at pag-uusapan pa yan, idi-defend pa yan sa floor. Hintayin na lang natin yung deliberation na magaganap sa floor.”
Asked if she agreed with the recommendation against Aquino, she said she would like to see and listen first how Gordon would defend his findings.
