Boy run over by car dies in QC

A 5-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a car on Wednesday in Quezon City.

The Quezon City Police District identified the child as Kyusoke Roque, and the driver of the car as Jay Robles, 42.

An initial investigation by the QCPD’s traffic enforcement unit said Robles was driving an Isuzu Sportivo on Malumanay Street, heading towards V. Luna Avenue in Barangay Sikatuna Village, around 2:30 p.m. Police said the child suddenly crossed the road and was ran over by the vehicle’s left front wheel.

Roque was taken to V. Luna General Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Robles faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. —Jhesset O. Enano
