Scattered rains, thunderstorms to affect most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila
Keep your rain gears handy or better stay at home as scattered rains and thunderstorms would pour over most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
In its public weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said rainshowers and thunderstorms were brought by the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, and northeast monsoon (amihan) affecting northern luzon.
The tail-end of a cold front would bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Calabarzon, the regions of Bicol and Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Aurora.
Pagasa urged residents to stay safe in these areas as flash floods or landslides may occur.
The northeast monsoon, on the other hand, would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Metro Manila, the regions of Cordillera and Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon, the agency said.
Ilocos region would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains also due the monsoon, Pagasa said.
