Taguig police arrested two soldiers early Monday for firing guns during the New Year revelry.
Staff Sergeant Jamael Mindalano, 38, and Corporal Richard John Quijano, 30, were arrested in Barangay New Lower Bicutan at the height of the New Year’s celebration.
In a Radyo Inquirer 990 AM report, Mindalano and Quijano were drunk when they used their guns for merry-making.
Taguig police said they seized two .45-caliber pistols, a .38-caliber revolver and a 9-mm pistol with ammunition from the two men. All the guns were not licensed, police said.
Charges of indiscriminate firing, alarm and scandal, physical injury, direct assault, serious disobedience, and illegal possession of firearms will be filed against the soldiers. /cbb / with Dona Dominguez-Cargullo
