BAGUIO CITY – Two successive earthquakes shook the country’s summer capital Tuesday afternoon, sending tourists and holiday vacationers out of their hotels.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that a 4.6-magnitude earthquake first jolted the city around 12:12 p.m., and followed by a 3.5-magnitude quake five minutes later.

The seismic activities of tectonic origin were located north east of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.

No one was reported hurt. No property damages were also recorded.    /kga
