KORONADAL CITY – A 21-year-old illegal drug trade suspect may have outsmarted arresting police officers in an anti-drug raid in his home on Tuesday but the long arm of the law caught up with him the following day when he was arrested at the General Santos City International Airport.

Valente Cariño, regional director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Soccsksargen region, said police and anti-narcotic agents had caught up with Felixberto Perbillo III, also known as “Moi-Moi,” at the pre-departure area of the airport and arrested him about 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cariño said Perbillo eluded arrest on Tuesday night, when police found two sachets of suspected crystal meth and marijuana leaves in a buy -bust operation in his home in Lower Osmeña, Koronadal City Tuesday night.

Police estimated the street value of illegal drugs found in his home to be more than P2,500.

Cariño said Perbillo has been brought to the PDEA headquarters in General Santos City where he would face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /jpv
