Burglars strike 2 households in Talisay City

He forgot to close the door of his house in barangay San Isidro, Talisay City, Cebu.

When the  21-year-old Norwegian  woke up from  a nap in the afternoon, he found his laptop and cell phone gone.

Kjell Edgard NerlandNerland, a resident of Green Ville , told police that he forgot to lock the door of his house on Monday before he went to sleep.

The young man reported the loss of his gadgets: a P300,000 laptop and P5,000 mobile phone.

He warned homeowners to be vigilant about  belongings in their premises.

In a separate incident in barangay Lawaan I, a woman reported the loss of jewelry, a laptop and  and CD/DVD player from her home  in Phase 2 of Camella Homes.

Werina Silva, 54, married, said she was not home when the items were taken.

She accused her neighbor of stealing her belongings worth close to P200,000.

Police are looking for a certain Berta, who was reportedly seen entering the  house  Monday afternoon.

Berta used to run errands for  Silva.

Silva said she arrived home and was surprised to find her laptop worth P70,000, assorted jewelry worth P100,000 and a DVD player worth P15,000 were missing.
