Driver dies as world remembers road accident victims

A motorcycle rider without a helmet died after he crashed into a road island along Congressional Avenue in Quezon City on Sunday, radio reports said.

The accident happened in the midst of the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, radio dzBB and dzMM reported.

Radio dzBB said the driver’s back-rider, who is in serious condition, was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital. /cbb
