Mandaue has more investors – Oliva
INVESTORS in Mandaue City has increased by 30 percent after the city government launched its automated tax program.
Regal Oliva, Mandaue city treasurer, said that the project helped identify delinquent taxpayers and in the collection of taxes.
Oliva said that before the project the City Treasurer’s Office identified 8,000 big and small scale establishments.
But since the project was launched, Oliva said 2,400 more set up business in the city or an increase of 30 percent.
The automated tax project also cut down the processing of business documents from three days to just an hour.
“The automated project was of great help in collecting taxes because through it we can easily identify with the use of tax mapping,” he said.

“Because we are honest when we collect taxes. We’ve also been having friendly business transactions with our investors here at city hall and not giving them headaches,” Oliva said. /REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
