Pangasinan cops round up 29 suspects for various crimes

DAGUPAN CITY—The Pangasinan police arrested 29 suspects for various crimes in simultaneous police operations conducted in one day in 19 towns on Monday (Sept. 4).

From 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m, the police served warrants issued by different courts for serious crimes like murder, frustrated murder and sexual assault to minor offenses like grave slander, a police report showed.

The oldest suspect arrested was 84-year-old Felisa Banaga of Aguilar town, who was charged for estafa and for falsifying documents for which no bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

Three suspects were wanted for rape identified as Rene Pandi, 23, of Bolinao town; Renante Dolores, 43, of Laoac town; and Rolando Sanchez, 39, of Binmaley town, while another suspect Jeffrey de Vera, 42, of Basista town, was ordered detained by the courts for statutory rape.
