OLONGAPO CITY — Unidentified gunmen attacked the vehicle of the mayor of San Felipe town in Zambales province on Monday morning, police said.

Initial reports from the San Felipe Police Station said Mayor Carolyn Fariñas’ Toyota Innova was ambushed by two motorcycle-riding assailants at 7: 50 a.m. in Mendaros St. near the highway.

The mayor and her staffer, John Ray Ramil, were unhurt, but glass from the shattered windshield injured the face of her driver, Raul Rosete.
