LP: Amid crisis in south, there are lessons to learn in time of Eid’l Adha

The Liberal Party (LP) joined the nation on Friday in celebrating the Islamic holiday, Eid’l Adha.

“Nakikiisa ang Partido Liberal sa ating mga kababayang Muslim sa pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Adha. Eid Mubarak!” LP said in a statement.

“Sa gitna ng karahasang nagaganap sa ating bansa, lalo na sa pinagdadaanan ng ating mga kapatid sa Mindanao – partikular na sa Marawi – may aral na mapupulot sa kwento ni Abraham, at sa kanyang taos-pusong pagtitiwala sa kapangyarihan ng pananampalataya,” LP added.

Eid’l Adha, also called as the “Sacrifice Feast,” is one of the two major feasts celebrated by Muslims in the world. It commemorates the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, Ismael, as an act of obedience to God’s command.

It also marks the culmination of the hajj, the Muslim’s annual pilgrimage to Mecca. IDL
