Today, Aug. 28, is National Heroes Day.

The last Monday of August was declared National Heroes Day through Republic Act No. 9492 signed on July 24, 2007.

The celebration was first enacted into law by Act. No. 3827 signed on Oct. 28, 1931. –Marielle Medina
