Cebu Pacific explains delay in Cebu-Manila flight

Cebu Pacific Air on Friday night issued a statement explaining why its flight from Cebu to Manila suffered a delay.

“Cebu Pacific Flight 5J570, bound for Manila from Cebu figured in a minor incident as it was taxiing prior to take off from the Mactan Cebu International Airport at about 6:35 p.m.,” the statement said.

“The aircraft’s nose wheel (or front landing gear) went outside the runway.”

It said “all 435 passengers, including three infants, are safe. Our cabin crew are assisting all passengers on board the aircraft.”

“Passengers are being deplaned so that the aircraft can be towed,” it added.
