Duterte appoints 3 entertainers to gov’t posts
President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed three more members of the entertainment industry to government, including actor former Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.
Mr. Duterte appointed Moreno, Francisco Moreno Domagoso in real life, as a member of the board of directors of the North Luzon Railways Corp. (Northrail) on July 12, replacing Jose Martin Orosa Aliling. His term ends on June 30, 2018.
Mr. Duterte also appointed on July 12 Marco Antonio M. Ho, popularly known as Bogart the Explorer, as a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board; and theater veteran Chris Millado to the Cinema Evaluation Board of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. —Philip C.
