Rain to persist over Southern Tagalog, Visayas, Mindanao
Rain will continue in most parts of the country on Thursday due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
The ITCZ, where winds from northern and southern hemispheres meet, is affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
This weather system is also a breeding ground of low pressure areas.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, the Bicol region, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, and Zambales will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country. FM / CBB
