Pedicab driver killed by man who flees with victim’s kin
A 35-year-old pedicab driver was shot dead in Quezon City on Saturday by an unidentified man who fled with the victim’s brother.
The police said that they were looking for Esteban Diolata, who escaped with the man who shot Diolata’s brother, Joseph.
Earlier, the brothers had a heated argument around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday on Villareal Avenue, Barangay Gulad, Novaliches, a police report said.
The gunman tried to intervene but he later took out a gun from a sling bag and shot the victim in the chest.
The shooting was witnessed by John Carlo Halasan, a pedicab driver who said the suspects had earlier flagged him down and boarded his vehicle.
Halasan said that after dropping the two men off, he was about to leave when one of them shot Joseph.

Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, construction worker Jason Frasdilla was shot several times by three unidentified men in his house in Quezon City last Friday.
John Frasdilla, the victim’s nephew, said he was standing outside when six masked men entered their house on Campo Verde Street, Barangay Batasan Hills.
